This week's theme is my town in Black and White.
This sign will greet you as you enter the city limits.
You may be sayshaded around town by
Jonsie in his
Around the Town Carriage Service.
He tells you all about the town also.
St. Joseph Protocathedreal.
The first Catholic cathedral west of the
Alleghenies.
Tabott Tavern
Early stagecoach stop on the only road south.
Jessie James and gang left their marks (bullet) inside one of the hallways.
The towers of St. Vincent Church on the
Sister of Charity campus at Nazareth.
Not on Jonsie's carriage ride but the alley behind the old jail.
One of my favorite haunts for great photos.
Fine bridge to one of the finest homes in town.
A new industry just outside the city limits.
Sad looking corn field within the city limits.
Very dry summer.

Always enjoy visiting your site . Just had to leave a message today - Super Love this look at your community . . THANK YOU!
You really got out and about for this one. Great ! Wishing you a restful weekend.
I so enjoyed the tour of where you live...we only do carriage rides during the Christmas celebration ;(
Excellent choices. The church is very pretty but I think my favorite is of the bridge. It looks like something out of an old black and white English mystery movie.
Oh I could happily take this tour. Such a lovely town with so much history.
You found perfect subjects for black and white. The light in the horse and carriage and the church shots seems to make the white shine - how did you manage that? And, like JarieLyn, I love the bridge shot!
Beautiful photos. The carriage looks like a scene from the past, like it!
Thanks for the visit I do appreciate it...Kim, USA
Oh my. I was alternately laughing and in awe of your photos of your town. It's been years since I was in Bardstown. It sure has grown up on itself. Really super post, Peggy.
I adore your header photo. Simply perfect.
The horse and carriage look terrific in black and white!
I am trying to let comments choose the spotlight not my own opinion but in your case everyone seemed to like something different and for many reasons, so I did my own choice.... thank goodness....Nice post Pegs.
Beautiful selection. Glad to have a chance to see your stuff again. The Towers of St. Vincent are magnificent and work really well in black and white.
