Football weather, WooHoo. Mosaic Monday

The days are cooling down. A nice gentle breeze is just barely stirring the leaves.

  IT IS FOOTBALL WEATHER

Have always loved football.
Have not had anyone cheer leading or playing for a long time but this year is different.

Grandson, Ben, is a junior and starter for his team this year.
Ben has been playing fb for over 7 years and his favorite college has got their eye on him.

Running back.

Friday night they played the number 3 high school team in the state.

No one had much hope since our team had such a bad time last year.
Ben and a couple of others were their only strong players.

The team was split.

A new high school just opened this fall and kids must go to the HS in their district so Ben is actually playing without some of his regulars.

Although our team did not win they put on a great show of courage with 4 TDS and gs ran 26 times for 101 yds and made 2 of those TDs.

What a fun time.
On a brand new revamped football field.
Love it.

Also champion volley ball player freshman granddaughter Ellen in action in the back on the left side of photo.
Never a dull moment in the Jones family when it comes to sports.

Hi Peggy
I guess like us you can attend more games for the grands than you could for our kids when we were working.
Nice mosaic.

A thoroughly enjoyable post. And the title made me think : I know it is a different type of football, but our football season here in Europe has just kicked off also and the games in Spain are having to be played at 11.00 at night to avoid the heat!

I love the weather that we have been having, just wonderful! I am not much a fan of football, however, if your grandson gets chosen by UofL, that would be awesome! That is where my bread, has received it's butter from all of these years...so to speak;')~
