Purple cherry tomatoes

Been getting 2 or 3 tomatoes daily for a few days but today I have picked about 25.

I read that as soon as your tomato begins to show a little ripening it looses contact with the stem and can be picked to continue ripening on its own.
It gains nothing from the stem at that point.
HH says no he wants his big ones to stay on the vine longer.

Well, I have a ways to go on that score...my three little tomatoes are green as green can be.

I don't blame your hubby for wanting his tomatoes to have more contact with the stem. ☺

I've never seen purple cherry tomatoes before. Are they going to get a darker color as they ripen? Very interesting. Tomatoes definitely continue to ripen if they already have some color. Hubby brought some home from the grocery store the other day that were hard and still green -- but I don't think any amount of sitting out is gonna help them as they have probably already been refrigerated too long. Might have to fry them up. :) Hope your day is great. Tammy
