Mosaic Monday- Missing from my garden this year.

Mosaic Monday
And
Grandma's Briefs

There are some beautiful things growing this year but there are two things missing that I miss very much.
One is gone by choice the other not by our choice.

On the left where our fish pond was and on the right my Desert Rose Bonsai tree.
We took the pond up because it was too much work for us anymore but the beautiful succulent tree that I took in and brought back out into the sunshine for several years  was snatched away from our back deck by a rambunctious neighbor's dog who got loose from his leash.
No sorry or any explanation from the neighbor what-so-ever.
We found it in a multitude of pieces between our house and theirs.
Yes we have complained numerous time about this dog.

Enjoyed the 4th fireworks from our front yard and then played with Picmonkey.

Just a reminder it is not always as hot as it is today.
Our grass is so brown I would almost rather see it covered with snow.

Go here for more Mosaic Monday with Mary.

Go here for a new party I found for grandmothers.
You're gonna love her header.

Hello Peggy
You're the second gal to say you've taken out your pond. The first is a neighbour and her reasons are the same as yours. It got me thinking to what we'll do with ours down the road.
So sad about your bonsai tree, they take years to groom.

Great mosaics. That is too bad about your plant and the naughty neighbour's dog! The last photo is a real shocker and I'm glad we don't have to look at snow for a while. lol Blessings, Pamela

Beautiful mosaics and I'm sorry about the dog. It's not fair to neighbors or the dog that he can escape. Loved your fireworks - we skipped the show this year due to heat.

Oh I'm sorry that it's been so rotten hot. I hope that you get a nice cool down soon...and some rain. I should practice taking fireworks pictures...I could any night of the week.

Heat wave all over the country is not good. Our grass are also getting brown though we had two days of good rain few days ago. Love your snow photo ^_^

Lovely captures of the fireworks. Sorry, about your neighbors dog. Do you know about the damage that was done from their dog. It is very hot here too but I still would not want snow. Great photo, have a wonderful week!

I am sorry that your neighbour could not be gracious to apologize for his dog. Your mosaic is lovely. I am not wishing for snow. Valerie

We have a waterfall that ends in a very small pond and we came THIS close to not getting it up and running this year. They are indeed a lot of work. I'm so sorry about your tree. Incredible that no apologies were given.

Thank you so much for linking to the GRAND Social! I love having new grandmas join the conversation and share their awesome posts...like this one!

Have a lovely week, Peggy. It's so great to meet you.

Hi

Visiting from Grand Social. Love your fireworks pics! And LOL you are a kindred soul. I recently did a post on what flowers are growing lately, even in the heat wave, and I too dug up a snow picture to include :)
Your poor tree :(

I know the pain of dealing with dog owners who just do not either get it, or seem to care. I hope you have enjoyed this morning's cool breeze, following those 10 days of desert conditions...whew~

Dropping by from Grand Social. It's my first time here. I love your "day lily" inspiration at the top of your blog.

We're not "dog people" although we have grand-dogs that we love. I have zero tolerance for people who let their dogs run outside. It's rare in our neighborhood, but we have some new neighbors who let theirs out all the time. Eventually we're going to have to have words about it.

Hi Peggy
I'm so sorry to hear about your bosai tree and that nasty neighbors dog.

I love your fireworks mosaics -- it sounds like you had a good holiday!
