Friday Shoot My Town.

May 25: Made by Hand in Your Town A dress maker to a bread maker to carving a marble statue - Start watching for raw talent in your town.
My first stop in town was at the co-op of
FABS
Fine Arts Bardstown Studios

I found this amazing artist at work rolling out her clay and filling up her supply tray for making
polymar clay jewelry.
Her work is amazing.

You can find her beautiful work for sale her also.

Another artist hanging some brand new paintings was
Susan Christensen
Her Etsy shop is not open as of yet.
When it is I will let you know.
 Work by Donna Wilkerson

I did not get the name of this fabric artist.

I did not manage to get the artist's name here either.
This co-op is so amazing.
Each day a different artist works in the gallery showroom and the artist will be there doing their own art and that way they do not have to spend their entire time in the gallery.
They can be making all the beautiful items that they are known for.
Now a different kind of homemade.

This is the newest shop downtown and it is as cute as a bumble bee.
A reflection of the Pink Chandler Party Room.

It was late in the afternoon when I was in there and most of the daily goodies were gone and the baker was not there.
You can find this on Third Street in Bardstown.

All of my handmade items are made to be sold for Charity.

You found some treasures in human form, didn't you! What a joy to see artists at work and to see their results.

A lot of talent in your neck of the woods, the first artist was good, disappointed not to see more of your crafts though.

You captured it, for sure! People are so creative, aren't they? Love handmade!
BTW, I love your daylily quote!

So many lovely hand made things! I stopped thinking about the photos and about what I'd like to buy and decided on a that bag in the last shot. I like the tiny subtle colours on the neutral tones. Then I'd like to sit in that lovely shop and have a cupcake, please.

loved it. When driving cross country I love finding stores and co-ops that show off local art. as I panned down I loved the pottery with the black plant on the face.... this would be great for serving at a dinner party. and the Sugar buzz - great bakery idea - except of course none of us need the sugar. at least a cupcake isn't as big as a wedge of cake.

Great place to visit for this theme! My favourite I think would be the ceramics somewhere in the middle

The studios is such a cool place to visit, especially for a photographer!

Thank you so much for featuring some of the artists of FABS. I am so excited that you chose to write about us! The fiber artist is named Linn Lorezen and Jamie Lee Herman is the potter. She and her husband own Hermarosa Pottery, and I think they have a web site. Thanks again!
