Mosaic Monday with Mary
Just outside my kitchen window with a view of our beautiful Japanese Maple which is actually planted too close to our house.
Our bad.
We planted it on our 40th wedding anniversary and now 12 years later it is thriving in spite of some drastic blows from the weather over the years.
Sort of like being married for 52 years.
A good tree withstands the blows, the knocks and the scrapes.

The Japanese Maple is one of my favorite trees.
The leaves are a distinctive purple when in full sun most of the day.

The same tree on the same day as the winds blew the under belly of the purple leaves up and the sun was shooting in technicolor.
Other goings on..
Received my ATC from Wendy of BlissfullATC swap.
The theme for April was
Springtime in Paris.
Wendy always has a lovely ATC card.
And the back side is just as cute too.
All the little extras she sent.

Beautiful pictures of your garden. The ATC from Wendy is lovely!
That is a pretty sight to behold! Have a good week!
Love your maple tree. I have a small one and was delighted when it came out this year. With the drought, I had my fingers crossed. I'll baby it some more this year. Cute ATC!
We have a Japanese maple in the side yard. So far it is still alive. We are outside its growing zone. I love the delicate leaves. V
We also have a Japanese maple and it is also spreading itself around this year. I was joking that I should dig up the little volunteers and put them in dixie cups to sell at a yard sale. I always feel bad when I pull them out of the garden.
Your mosaic featuring the views from your window with the window included is so neat! Great idea. Very pretty, too.
Simply gorgeous!!!! Wishing you well! Cathy
Peggy, those Japanese Maple trees are so beautiful, and every season when I see them, I think, I need one of those, and I am thinking right now, I need one of those, maybe even more~
