Tulips are up

Happy Spring y'all !!!!!!!!!

I had been watching my tulips as they progressed in their spring show.

 Photo taken March 15, 2011

Haven't gotten to weeding this area as can be seen.
I hate to pull up those cute little weeds with the purple blooms on them.
Especially since my favorite two colors together are purple and green.

This morning when HH went out to feed the birds he came in with this announcement.
"Tulips are out."

Now that is in the back and I was a little disappointed they were out just yet since our family will all be here at Easter and I was hoping they would be in their glory at that time.
However, there is a group in the front that are not out yet that may just about hit it right.

I like for these to be in bloom at Easter since our children planted them one year at Easter.
Alleluia.

The creeping phlox will be just right by Easter
Sunday.

Okay, but not before I say how nice it is to have a town crier reporting in on the good things going on in the yard. The only blooming flowers I ever have at Easter are on the table. Blessed you!

Your garden is looking so nice!

We have spring flowers here, too, but it's so early, I'm worried about them. The buds on the trees are threatening to burst forth and all I can think about is one bad ice storm and our peach, apple and cherry crops will be toast.

It was 87 degrees in Detroit yesterday.
