Ya Sepia Saturday again.
There is some damage on this photo on our daughter's lip on the right side. She has always had beautiful teeth.
This picture was taken around 1980 because it was taken after our oldest son had left for New York to begin his career as an employee of IBM.
It was taken for our church directory.
The Helmet haircut on HH was in vogue then.
Actor Craig Everett
wore that same haircut in Central Hospital and
Bobby Goldsboro,
the singer, had it during his TV show.
My pompadour was the style and the kiddos just did whatever they liked.
Now the youngest Beth, had what they called the
Dorothy Hamil cut.
Honestly I did not do that to her.
That was the style done at the beauty salon.
The kids called their dad helmet and called Beth's the bowl cut.
#1 son playing near Woodstock were he lived in New York.
Notice that picture on the wall behind him. That is a pen and ink drawing he did while in high school.
I featured it on my post for Front Doors on Friday's Shoot My Town. He had worked there when he was in high school.
Son #1 after a couple of years in New York.
About the time he and his posse went to Europe and Russia.
I guess you call that a 'cool cat'
He never played in a band but due to his artistic skills he designed album covers for his best friend's band.
That was his hobby back then.
Now it is culinary arts.
Of course he is still an engineer but now with ServiceMesh in Austin, Tx.
You can find him on Facebook at Tom's Test Kitchen.www.youtube.com
just type in tomstestkitchen he is the second channel.
Go here for more hairy tales.

It was so nice meeting your children and their various hairstyles.

Nice 80s hair styles. Son #1 looks like Brad Pitt..
What a lovely way to bring out your family in so many various styles of their lives. The fist one I was thinking began in the 1970's but was it the 1980's? A great collection of your lovely family all around.
Ha ha, that hair style I was sporting there became known as the Mullet, I think I must have invented it because nobody else was wearing it in 1988.
An interesting mixture of hair styles here - some nice and neat, others wouldn't have suited me.
This was so sweet! What a precious family you have, with many talents. I like the one of your son with the long hair. Looks like a rocker!

In my case it was hair yesterday, gone today.
I like the way your family contributed to your post.
Handsome family. You look like a singing family that goes on tour, like the Cowsills or Osmonds. I enjoyed being reminded of those hairstyles of the 80s.
Your son looks like a different person with each different style. I remember liking the Dorothy Hamill cut, though I never wanted that style for myself.
What an attractive family. I remember those 80s hairstyles well. Enjoyed seeing the picture of Chad Everett with his helmet head hairstyle. Remember watching him on Medical Center many years ago.
A nice hairy journey through the family photographs.
Fortunate and unfortunate choices in haircuts... We've all those!!
:)~

All with wonderful smiles. Wish my family had had at least one portrait shot, but we never did.
Your family had some trendy haircuts - and so did I. Looking back makes me wonder what we will think of our current hairdos in ten years time :-) Jo
A Cool Looking Gent!
