Sunshine in the winter and flowers peeping out

On the news today the weather man in the city showed beautiful pansies growing outside the station.
Of course pansies can tolerate the cold but it was almost 60 degrees in Ky, today.
Went out for a walk and here is what I found.
Tulips

The weatherman also said rain was to begin at midnight and probably rain all day tomorrow.
I have to go out to a meeting and I guess I will be dancing in the rain.
Outside our kitchen window this morning.

Each day gets a little more daylight and that means spring is on it's way.
Oh happy day

Hi Peggy.
I am thrilled that it is not as dark at 6pm as it has been.
One day closer to Spring!!!
God bless,
d

We do tend to get your weather patterns - and recently I have no complaints on that score. But I do wish we got your bird-life.

Here in Va. it feels like Spring one day and winter the next. Mother nature cannot seem to make up her mind this year! :-)

So nice to see the days getting longer - we noticed daylight still at 5 pm the other day, and marveled at how suddenly that seemed to have happened!

Sounds as if that weather system is pretty large. It'll be arriving here tomorrow in the form of snow...if all goes well.

Such a lot of green grass and confused flowers!

Is it usual to get tulips so soon, or are things a bit early this year?

Well AC i had to brush aside the leaves and brick chips to see those tulip sprouts but I hurriedly recovered them as they need to stay out of sight to survive.

Peggy, how strange. We are getting a real bad snow storm this morning
and all week end bitter cold.
It's time to take a trip, just have to get my hip better.

We aren't as warm as you, but yesterday it was 50 degrees in Detroit. In January. Amazing. I hope the plants here don't suffer from the lack of snow pack. We haven't had much at all. We did have nearly 50 inches of precipitation last year, so hopefully, we're golden.
