Back in the routine

What a wonderful holiday time we had.
I could hardly keep up with which day it was, much less follow my usual meme posts.
Share the Joy Thursday with Mira and
Celebrating Friendship with Ruth is a great day to start on.
The sun is shining today and that brings Joy for sure.
Let me show you what I mean.

Monday was a Blustery Day.

Thursday
Joy
I can be joyful on a cloudy day but the
sun makes it more joyful.

We always disconnect our outside water hoses and thought we had.
We found one connected and it was frozen.
After the sun shone on it for a day it was running again.
Alleluia, one less worry.

No snow and shadows.
No shadows unless the sun is shining.

Having......TAZO, Passion herbal infusion. A tantalizing deep red tea made from hibiscus flowers, exotic herbs and natural tropical flavors.
Oops got too much milk in there
In........My Doc Martin mug that I got from Public Television Fund drive.

Feeling........Grateful that HH and I enjoyed another Christmas and New Year with our beloved family.
Thinking about.........All the sadness out there in the world but knowing that God is with them and I must look for ways to help within my circle of influence.

Thought for the Day

"There are those who become disappointed thinking that God hasn't spoken to them
because they have not heard a loud booming voice. But, He does speak to us all
of the time - mostly in quiet ways that we need to keep our eyes, ears, mind, and
heart open to hear."

Today's Word

"The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for
the LORD is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains
apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind.
After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.
After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the
fire came a gentle whisper." (1 Kings 19:11-12 NIV)

Our new year started off cloudy and blustery but has been nice the past several days. Hubby is back to walking again in the afternoon. I will do the same once I get back into the swing of things. Haven't done any walking for exercise since spraining my ankle in November. Will check out your cousin's blog. Have a great rest of the week and a wonderful weekend. Tammy

Good thoughts...I like how you say our own circle of influence. Sometimes we run off to far flung situations when we'd do better to mind your thoughts about it.

Lovely, positive post! I feel like that too, and if small things get on my nerves, I remember to be thankful for life's blessings, and I tell myself not to sweat the small things!
Thanks for visiting my travel-i-tales, Peggy.

Our blustery days were earlier in the week but it certainly allows us to reflect on the changes that have taken place in our lives. Weather changes should call to mind the changes that take place in our lives!!! And some days can be pretty blustery!!! Have a grand day!!! Cathy
