Prayer from Nazareth for Advent.
Advent – a time of waiting, of expectation, of looking forward
What am I waiting for, what am I looking forward to?
A few days break at Christmas?
A bit of peace and quiet?
An end to the cold and dark of winter?
Something more, something deeper?
An inner peace. . .
A reconciliation. . .
A resolution. . .
A transformation. . .
Advent gently reminds us
That we are people who are expecting something
I am having troubles with finding and posting my photos so this is all I could post they are all gone.
What will I do with all my photos missing?
Go here to see the Button Floozies link and see all the beautiful ornaments made. You might learn something like I did.
This was fun.
Day 4 of Faces of Mary
The Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Lourdes
The Button Floozies link is up.
What a fun swap and a great learning opportunity for me, which I am always on the look out for.
Some great artists here.
I have quite a few pre-cute wooden bells so decided to use these for my ornaments.
Front side
Back side.
One went to Pam, one to Kathleen and one to Jessica.

Day 4 of Faces of Mary
The Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Lourdes
My young mind was impressed by the story of Mary’s visitation of three little Shepherds at the Cova da Iria in Fatima. The story of Fatima never fails to amuse me. Fatima was my catechism as I learned so much about the Catholic Faith in the apparition at Fatima where the Blessed Mother herself was the catechist.
This statue is in the home of a friend of mine for one week.
It will come to my house in several as one has to sign up to have it in your home.
While the statue is in your home friends, family and neighbors are invited to come to recite the rosary every day as that was the message of Mary to the children of Fatima.

Oh Peggy, what a beautiful Prayer from Nazereth for Advent and so very true.
I love your ornaments and everytime I see the name "Button Floozies" it just makes me smile. What a cute name they came up with.
The statue of the Blessed Mary is truly breathtaking. What a wonderful way of sharing love and spirit as she travels from home to home to be rejoiced by all. Hugs to you my sweet friend.
What a neat idea. Thanks for commenting on my blog.
It is a beautiful statue and I am sure that it must be a blessing to have it in your home. Thank you for sharing the image.

Your bell button ornaments are so sweet. This was a fun swap!
Thank you for sharing this post. It reminded me that when my sons were smaller, we too, had the pilgrim statue visit our home. We were lucky enough to have Her several times a year. Those were the days....
Peace be with you,
Shannon
There is much serenity in Her face.
