Trying out a new technique on doing my thing day.

Been reading about coloring paper napkins, using pictures from paper napkins, so I tried my hand at a piece.

I had several cocktail napkins from our daughter Rachel's wedding 20 years ago.
Separated the top from the 2nd ply and pressed it out on a clay board.
Attached it to the board with Mod Podge and covered it with MP.
With a sponge dabbed on a green to match the napkin then dabbed on black green to age the look.
Finished with a Matte preservative and set it in on a tiny easel.

Found a great video on using paper napkins to decorate boxes and plaques.

Grateful for clarity of mind to enjoy learning new things.

I've taken a napkin and ironed it on to freezer paper. I can't remember why I did that. Possibly I made a card or an envelope from it. This is a nice way to preserve a special memory!

That turned out beautifully! Yes, it's a little hard to focus when concerns are pressing. Now that they have gone skedaddling, you'll be able to have more fun.
