Mosaic Monday, Unveiling the U.S. Postal Service Christmas Stamp

Although I posted about the stamp unveiling that I attended Friday, I wanted to use some additional photos in a mosaic today.

The Official U.S. Postal Service Christmas Stamp

Well there were speeches too but there was such a large crowd I could not get any photos of that.

On Friday Nov. 18, 2011 the U.S. Postal Service
unveiled the 2011 Christmas Stamp.
The officials from the U.S. Postal Service were present at the ceremony and explained why it was held at Nazareth, Kentucky.

The representative for the USPS is from Kentucky and she stated that her job has become a series of PR activities to get out and get with the people to try to stir up concern for the possibility of the USPS being discontinued in some areas.
Post Offices are closing in a lot of areas.

She knew that the community of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth were beginning a year long celebration of their Bicentennial Year in 2012 and
how more appropriate to increase interest around this area than to have the unveiling at Nazareth.

Each piece of mail cancelled at the Nazareth Post Office will have the official hand cancel designed by the current Postmistress at the post office.
