Frightening storm on Saturday-Mosaic Monday and Jingle Poetry

Well it is Mosaic Monday again.

Not a pretty mosaic today but a real scary day and that is reality.
Ky and Ind. were hit with high winds, hail and much damage on Saturday evening.
6 were killed in Ind.
No injuries in Ky. but many downed trees and power lines.
No school in Jefferson Co. on Monday.
We were enjoying the balmy weather early Sat. evening when it began to cloud up and pelting hail and rain drove us from the deck into the garage with the door open.
We could not even stay there long as the hail was coming into the garage hitting the car inside.
We lowered the garage door and here is what we heard.

Thanksgiving it was no worse than it was.
Hope Texas had some rain.

Jingle Poetry theme for Potluck Monday
Romance
My entry

Romance in the rain

i love to hear the rain drops
don't like to hear the hail
but we don't get to choose the way
that He waters hill and dale

sometimes we moan a rainy day
sometimes we moan the drought
it's back and forth and this and that
i accept it cause that's what I was taught

my love and I just sit and count our many blessings
no need to wander all about or roam the shady streets
we just hold hands and swap a kiss and know that we are safe

Looks like that was an amazing storm. I read about the Indiana State Fair tragedy. So sad.

I think a lot of states need the rain really bad. But that hail is scary. We were dry for a while but we had rain most of this weekend. Pretty poem. I wish you a great week!

It was unbelievable here.
I had been talking to my neighbor from down the road and there was that *feel* that the weather was changing rapidly. Clouds were high, did not look threatening. (around 6 p.m.) I checked the radar and the storm front was massive, with warnings in the county next to us. We watched as long as we could and then to the cellar.
When I read about the State Fair I was SICK. Honey, the NWS had been WARNING about the gust front ahead of the storm and to STAY IN or GET IN. They could have canceled and evaced, (as our youth group that went to Pulse Fest did; 50,000 people into cars in 15 min---no problems) but chose not to. NO EXCUSES for these losses other than the management. Heartbreaking!
Glad you are safe---we got tons of rain and lightening and some wind, but overall, it split when coming this way.
I thank God....

Wow, glad it wasn't worse. We too had a pretty bad storm here and some places even some tornados touching down.

Love your jingles - so apt! Aren't storms fascinating!! So nice to be indoors and dry and safe, though!

Very nice jingle and I'd like to say that I don't like hearing hail at this time of year especially because I know what it does to the fruit on the trees and the harvests in the fields. I'm sorry that your area was so badly hit by the storm. (Of course, I've seen the footage of the Indiana state fair...so very sad.)

I bet it was kinda fun sitting in the garage and enjoying the storm from a safe place.
