Hey I am on theme this
Sepia Saturday.
A fairly old picture, sometime in the 80's.
My first plane ride.
Nothing about planes, since I don't know much, just about the ride.

I have an inquiring mind and anytime I do something for the first time, I have to look around.
First boat ride, motorcycle, etc., so I had to look inside this Piedmont cockpit.
Now I usually ask to have my picture taken in the driver's seat but I decided this would not be appropriate and no one offered.
However the pilot did give me a little pair of Wings. Just like the kiddos get.

We were traveling from Louisville, Ky to Newark New Jersey for HH brother's wedding.
I was so excited to be taking my very first airplane ride.
HH was not so happy.
He has never been on a plane since.
This is symbolic of our personalities, for sure.
My head is always in the clouds and his is always flat on safe ground. His younger brother to his left. Flies all over the world.
We had a perfect trip up and back.
The lights of city where fascinating as we neared New York and Newark.
Not perfect as far as HH was concerned.
Gotts love the husband.
A little late linking up with

Nothing much has changed then, you are still the curious rascal, looking for adventure and sticking her nose into anything new and exciting.
Good way to be.
You look so thrilled!
I love the pic of inside the cabin. Not many would think to record that. Very appropriate for this week’s theme.
It is safer in a plane than on the ground.
Wow, dig the upholstery on those seats. Stuck inside an orange plane.
I really like the touch of hearts dripping down the page, (on the right)how cool is that! So very cool of you to share such a great group of photos and flying on theme this week...great entry!
Oh the good old days of innocence when people would be invited up into the flight deck : before the dark days of locked doors.
Curiosity is a thing which starts from childhood and grips us harder as the days go by and as our age increases gradually..
Nice memory must say and the snaps are nice..

One thing I will always remember being told was that the pilot is as interested in getting down safely as you are.
The cabin shot is a beaut!
HH just isn't plane folks.
i used to come and visit this blog not the foodie side yours blog.. it's really interesting peggy and i love to see you in your former uniform.. such a lovely nurse you are..
I really like inside airplane shots. You see both excitement and trepidation in the faces. I remember getting those future flight attendant pins as a child.
I love the last picture, you look so happy!
