Mosaic Monday- Basket Making

Mosaic Monday with
Mary
One of the best things I learned to do last year and will continue this year, is basket weaving.

Here is a mosaic of the baskets I have made so far.
From left to right and down right to left.

1) Pineapple
(Made four)
This picture was taken before spraying with homemade walnut spray.
Finished it was the same color as #3

2) Spring Basket
(Made 1)

3) Welcome Home
(Made 2)

4) Rectangle with handles
(Made 2)

The first basket I made was the Rectangle with handles.
It was hard, bruising my knuckles and and painful to my hand joints.
I was very tensed when making that first one.
After that I became more relaxed and the rest were not so hard.
I find it a very relaxing activity.

Wonderful basket mosaic! I'm very intrigued by basket weaving, but am afraid it would aggravate my hands as you mentioned.

Lovely baskets QMM! I took a basket weaving class once and made a couple of baskets. It sure would be fun to do again.

Your baskets are beautiful, Peggy! That is a nice craft to learn.

I read Water For Elephants a few years ago and now I also look forward to seeing the movie.

Happy Mosaic Monday!
