May- Month of Mary Queen of Heaven

There are a lot of things and people honored in May.
I have seen many mentioned in different visits I have made today online.
I grew up with the custom of making an altar for Mary Queen of Heaven.
For the entire month of May fresh flowers are displayed on the little table in front of the statue of Mary .

This is a tradition I just love.

I do too - I think it's nice to cherish and remember our Mother Mary, no matter what other religions say about that. I was born and raised Roman Catholic and never once thought of wanting to be anything else...it worked for me ;-) I loved the nuns who ran a day care center next to our church in Germany. They were awesome - and the young ones were fun!

Your altar is gorgeous and filled with the peaceful quality of spirit. I have a beautiful Catholic friend who has shared many rich and meaningful stories with me about Mary Queen of Heaven and I feel enriched by each of them. Happy May to you, sweet Peggy.
