Doing My Thing Day!!!
Several weeks ago we did this painting project in class.
I could not decide how to finish it or what to line it with.
I finally decided to use sheet music from an old song book.
The paper works pretty good.
Sometimes I have used fabric and it makes it too bulky to get the top to fit on properly.
I want this for one of my girlie grands, so I took some white trim, soaked it in tea and came up with this ecru colored trim.
I love it with the color of the box.
This looks like little dancers lined up along the box.
I am continuing to experiment with different colored plarn
(plastic yard).
This is a small summer clutch purse I am making with the white and red bags.
I was asked to make some for the craft booth for the summer picnic.
However many I get made will be it.
The only colored bags I am finding around my town are the brown, white and yellow.
White and yellow will be good for summer items.
I plan to make some phone holders that attach to the purses.

The brown tote bag is finished.
As soon as I finish the straps and decide what type of closure to put on it, I will post that.
Tulips finally open today.
Whoo Hoo

That box is a real humdinger. So to speak.
That's a lovely keepsake box. The tea-dyed lace trim looks great Peggy!
Hi, Peggy..I LOVE your pretty box. I love anything with sheet music.:)
Come over for my giveaway of a beautiful, Danish enamel house sign. You would love it, I know.

Your box is just so pretty.
Love the sheet music lining, perfect! :-)
The box lining is perfect. I admire the active use of the right side of your brain and the resulting creativity. You amaze me!
Oooh - love that box! Isn't she a beauty!
Well, Miss Fidget Elfglimmer, you have outdone yourself again. You are just sooo crafty. The box is awesome possum and the bags are Handy Dandy. Good Luck finding other color bags, I will keep on the watch here for some. have a blessed day. Keep Smiling, you are a Lovely Lady.
You are keeping very busy! Love the box and when you said that it looked as if dancers were dancing around the lid, I saw them! (Not until you said so, though.) I've seen those carry bags. Is making those pretty tough on your hands? My hands are so tired and my fingers are swollen. Gotta give'em a break. Hope that your thumbs start feeling better soon.
Love the picture of your alter ego wearing a crown over there in your sidebar.
I bet your granddaughter will love the covered box! Beautiful.
The crocheted clutch purse is very pretty. I never would have guessed it's made of white and red plastic bags. Very clever.
Lovely tulips..!
I love the box with music lining it! Just the cutest idea! I may try that! ♥
