Friday Shoot Out- Things in my town starting with "S"

Friday Shoot Out
Theme
Things that start with
"S"
Of course it was raining and cloudy this shoot out day.
Nothing unusual for this last few weeks.

These are everywhere and more going up each day.

I tried to count all of these in my town.
No way.
There are at least 15 different churches in this town.

Numerous Victorian homes with garrets and spires and steeples.

Statues

Signs

These road work signs all around town are getting on our nerves.
It will be beautiful when they finally finish.
Silos
In town?
Yes one block from the main drag. But they do have plans to move out away from the main town.

Out a little further but still in the city limits.

Stones to begin things with.
Stones that show and honor the end.

On this rainy, cloudy day finally found something with
some color.
Around The Town Carriage and
Stagecoach.

Go here for more Friday Shoot Out.

I would love to photograph all those steeples! Something about them reaching upward always draws me in.

I never thought of statues or stones! Loved them all.

Great job - these are very interesting photos!

Great! Doing all the steeples sounds like a great project, too. Get ready for a wet weekend.

Plenty of that Road Work Sign here, there's always something being done on the roads.

Very grey here too. I like the various angles you've used in the photos.

nice series of SS in your town. we have King Milling here in Lowell with lots of those silos and towers. but they supply a lot of flour.

What a lot of good work on a rainy day. I particularly like the way you tilted the frame on the silos -- grabbed my eye.

I think it's great that you did't let the rain stop you! Great job on finding S's.

Love the angles you got here. Isn't that statue beautiful? Also love the second silos shot, you managed to make them look quite lovely.

Thanks for your kind comments about my dear old dog!
