My great grandmother was born in Ireland and had a brother named Will Fitzgerald.
Here is my rendition of Lucky Uncle Will Fitz.
Yes I drew and painted this with Extra Fine Sharpies but enhanced it a little with my computer.

you can't escape
you thought you could get away
thought you could forget
did you think I would let you off that easy
you tormented me when you were eight
and you still torment me today
yes I have passed into the neither land
but I left reminders behind
why do you think you have all my china, glasses, antiques, accessories
i told her to give them to you
i can still see you from up here
that time I hit you across the nose and threw salt in your eyes
was no accident
you drove me to it
you upset my comfortable life
you, your sister, brother and your mother
i told her not to marry him
now you are still paying

There is a fiddling family called Fitzgerald somewhat near here. Either their record or group is called Everything Fitz -- maybe both.

As it is, love the story behind the CT drawing. TY for putting so much thought into it and being inspired.
The Fitzgeralds and Tobins came to Canada then down into the US. In Ireland they were tavern owners and that is what they did in New York. So left there and went to Maryland and then to Kentucky for farming. My grandmother Who's mom was a Fitzgerald, could tell a million stories on that bunch. When I read Angela's Ashes, I felt like I was there.
