For HH and I another beautiful grandbaby reaches a milestone.
For her mom and dad their first 16 year old.
We remember the day her mom turned 16.
We remember the day her mom turned 16.
For her and her sister, family and friends a big, big, day.
Both sides of her family were there and it was a great time.
Hooking up with Jingle Poetry Potluck Monday, also.
signs of the ny times
i hear the news heralded about
and feel my soul shrink back
and try to hide away
so as not to feel attack
i know i'm acting like a coward
no one wants to feel a wound
it is the natural thing to do
this sadness came too soon
but that is not the seed of light
i know is there from God
i know i have the guts to trod
this road He put me on
rise up bright light
and shine that beam
on what i hear today
i know not what it may seem
or good that it may bring

First of all, a very very happy birthday to Hannah!!!
Now, for the poem, it is so beautiful, positive and hopeful, Peggy.. Yes, that light will rise, cuz good and even better times are just 'round the corner.. :)
Happy Potlucking, my friend.. loved your take on the prompt..
Happy Sweet 16!
Happy birthday to your granddaughter. At 16 they can touch the sky, at 21 they can even fly, as a parent they learn to teach, as a grandparent a time to whisper all is within reach, if they have learned their role, and understand God is in control.
Some Awards 4 you, please help visiting 2 or 3 poets to give birthday wishes, Thanks!
Your support is valued!
