Magpie Tales # 47
Some great writing over there. Go on over, read about it and learn how to join up.
I gave up trying to figure out what this was and just went with what my feelings were when I looked at it.

Raven Haired Beauty
Hair so black it looked blue
When twisted and twirled into a chignon
She looked like a royal princess
She walked on rose petals strewn by all who loved her
Her birthday soon it will be
Another year to mourn her absence
She would be 70
Gone from us for 28
Etched in my memory at age 32
Gone from us for 28
Etched in my memory at age 32
Would the hair so black it looked blue
Be white as mine
She's the missing piece of me
Going where I cannot be
yet
My time will come
Then both of us will have raven black hair again
We will wear a chignon together again
And walk on rose petals strewn by those who love us
And walk on rose petals strewn by those who love us

How lovely! What an unexpected take on the prompt!
A very individual response. It seems like a personal memoir.
This is lovely. Sometimes I wish I'd had a sister.
A very beautiful piece. Know you miss her so much.

Beautiful tribute to your sister, Q.
QMM, a good take on the mysterious thing. I can see its use in the hair... I like the new look on your blog as well.
Grey hair comes to most of us eventually!
Beautifully sad.
