Magpie Tales #35 and Mosaic Monday--- Fall

 Free as a leaf.

I see you whirling down, you silly, tipsy leaf.
Like a giddy sailor boy just from the latest reef.
Looking for a merry lass to revel the night away,
then to lounge around the next day.

I wish I had your dreams and youth to get me through this year, til I return in spring to turn over a new leaf.

Coming from that tree you remind me of Gene and Danny kicking up their heels.
Doing tap, tap, tap and reels.

Oh to be free as a leaf.
I would take your beauty too.

The colours in your mosaic go so beautifully together. I LOVE the shape of the oak leaf, which is different from those I see on trees here in south central Ontario.
