Vintage Thingie Thursday.
Well I admit I am a little self centered in my old age but when one has to wear a special glove on their hand so they can crochet and make baskets, it is a little harder to think of anything else.
Especially when the hand is very painful.
One would think, just don't use it.
Now when I say vintage, I think of something old and valuable.
Yes this is a hand.
My hand.
It is old
It is valuable and very much still in use.
Guess this is a little different slant to VTT.
LOL
Go here to see other VTT.

What is going on with your hand Peggy? Is it carpel tunnel? I tell you it is always something isn't it? I learned today the pain my hips is Bursitis and no more treadmill or eliptical exercising. Just exercise biking and swimming pool walking. Oh I think the RA is causing this. But wow oh wow it could always be so much worse. What will you do about your hand other than the splint/glove? Hang in there gal. XXXMollye
LOL, I think it's great slant to VTT, though I'm sorry it's causing you so much pain! Here's to hoping the glove helps with the pain and you can keep doing the things you love. Happy VTT!
This pain in my hands is from arthritis. I usually keep it under control with Aleve, but the stress of the basket making and crocheting is just making it irritated. I have increased the Aleve to 2 a day. That already has helped. I think eventually the exercise will help.

Not fun! Somehow we manage though.
Indeed it is valuable!!!! Take good care of it!!! Wishing you well! Cathy
I am glad you participated in today's VTT, but not with this kind of post. So sorry you are having problems. I am with you, if we do not keep using and moving, we will lose everything. Hang in there and trust things get better soon.
Indeed it is valuable!! Love this post and your upbeat attitude! Oh the aches and pains of age-the only medicine is laughter.
I swear by Zeel cream that I put on twice a day to my arthritic facet joints that add to my back pain. Perhaps it would help with your hands. It's homeopathic with arnica montana as the main compound. It comes from Germany, but is available locally and on line. Don't be dissuaded by the price--a little goes a long way.
It's worth a shot and may work better than a brace.
Oh, I hope your hand feels better soon. Mine gets achy when I do too much stitching and just have to give it a rest.
Dear Peggy,
This is a great post!
Your hand is lovely and you keep her active.
God bless and may you have a sweet life,
d
I am sorry for your vintage hand being in pain. My hands are old too. Use it or lose it they say. I wish you well. Smiling at your innovative post.
Hugs, Jeanne
I hope your vintage hand is feeling better soon!
I have been thinking of investing in something like that. Sigh.
