Oh the JOY of tulips
They make my heart sing
New life, a new spring
They make my heart sing
New life, a new spring
Hope springs eternal in the human breast;
Man never Is, but always To be blest:
The soul, uneasy and confin'd from home,
Rests and expatiates in a life to come.
-Alexander Pope,
An Essay on Man, Epistle I, 1733

Found this old tiny frame in one of my searches through my stash for old jewelry to use in my art and craft making.
It was my mother's.
There is no date or other mark on it but I know she had it a long time.
I made this yarn bombed rock and trimmed it with some gold and placed my granddaughter's wedding picture in it for a little birthday surprise for her.

Oh my goodness -- you're so much farther ahead in your plant progress. My daffodils and jonquils are barely beginning to poke through the ground. They're little splashes of joy, for sure, when they bloom.
The sun is warming the earth. How lovely to see that your garden is slowly coming to life.

Spring is such a joyful season. Everything seems alive and fresh. I love the Alexander Pope words. - Hazel
I like the photo 'treatment' for your tulips and isn't it just amazing what a little 'green' can do for our spirits.
The only tulips here are in the shops!
