Doing my thing day.
One of the things I am doing to make sure I stay as safe as I can is to make sure I have my phone always charged and on me when I go outside or in fact wear it all the time.
I have a small phone and wanted something very small to carry it in and something I could attach it to myself with.

Using one of the softest yet strong recycled shopping bags, I designed and crocheted this neat little holder for my phone.
Small velcro closures are attached to the holder and the top to keep the cover closed when not in use.
Had to take my glasses to the office to have them readjusted due to the fall.
Spotted this pretty glasses holder and decided it would be perfect for holding my phone in it's cover around my neck.
The items that can be made from this material are
endless.
While visiting one of my inspirational blog buddies, Cathy, this morning I discovered a new meme.
I was at http://bit-of-blarney.blogspot.com
and she had mentioned a new meme that she enjoyed.
Sharing the Joy Thursday.
Joy is so important to life but I need a poke every so often to remind me.
Our fish pond starting to become so overgrown.
We made the decision to have it removed and sown in grass so that it can be mowed and therefore easier to care for.
This morning after our yardman had finished.
I will miss it. Some of our fish had been with us for 13 years.
After our yardman had finished, HH and I sat on our deck and enjoy our coffee in our favorite mugs.
No feeling an absence of our beloved fish pond, but looking at the benefits of having it gone.
As I lifted my head to thank our God for the strength to make this decision, I felt
joy.
Joy in our decision.
No dilly dallying around.
A decision for the best way to stay in our home.
Keeping things simple.
Looking up at the trees we planted that need little care from us. Their care comes from reaching up to God.

I am hooking up with Tea Talk Thursday with Ruth also.

Wow, how creative is that! Great especially if you don't have pockets!
Just keepin it pretty, eh? :)
What a great recycling idea...I love it. I have made cases for my kindle and phone with regular yarn but never thought about using plastic bags.! :-)
What a neat idea! Good on you!
You have created so much with that plarn. Great work! I love thought of the trees reaching up to God for care! Wishing you joy and blessings, Tammy
I understand the need to simplify life. Did the fish get a new home?
Great job on hiding your safety gadget!
Aren't you clever!!! using materials that are piling up like mountains of waste!
Yes, I know what you mean about the phone, my sister says she doesn't bother ringing my mobile because I never answer it. I can't hear it in my bag so your little phone bag is a brill idea.

garden ponds made me so happy to see and listen
that pouch is a very clever idea
Peggy, a really great idea! You could hook two or more of the eyeglass holders together and make it a cross the body shoulder strap. Either way, you have prettied up your accessorizing. Marvelous!!
Yes Rudee, our yardman is the one who built our pond and he is taking it down for all the parts, rock, fish and water lilies. He has a couple of ponds in progress now. The fish will have a new home.

how interesting life is in all its seasons. when my eyes first fell on your fish pond my heart swooned with the joy of it. it is a powerful thing to realize ones needs and to move forward in trust.
