Praise the Lord with song and food. Alleluia

One of our favorite TV shows has always been
The Andy Griffith Show.

Of course it is all re-runs now, but there is one line that
Barney had that this family will never forget.

"I can't talk to you any more Andy, I done ten-foured you."

So what brought this to mind?

I have a friend who routinely does the hard cleaning for me.

She has been with me since I broke my back a few years ago and have 2 store-bought knees.

So my house is clean.

But because I prefer to do any art work at my kitchen table, rather than in my studio which is upstairs, that table is always covered with supplies I need, all my brushes, ribbons, buttons etc.

I prefer to work at that table because when I am in the house by myself,  I can see the front and back entrances to our home.
I really need to make space for a studio downstairs, but that is another story unto itself.

HH and I laugh that we have to make a spot to eat our meals everyday.
He doesn't really mind, but jokes all the time about my hoarding.

You all know, otherwise, called stash.

So once I clean off that table for a special holiday, like Easter, no more art work.

According to my timetable to get everything ready for a large group of loved ones, today is my day to clean off that table.

The dining room table is already decluttered.

So no ideas or urges to do art until after Sunday.
done ten-foured that, so that is that.

Now that empty vase in the second photo is waiting for my home-grown tulips which will not arrive in time, unless they can make it in three days.
Last year at this time.

Just look at that date on those photos.

Well Friday or Saturday I will visit our local Kroger store and find some Easter flowers.
I take such JOY in having my family all together every effort is worth it.

I am even going to make Angel Biscuits, like I used to years ago. Will they ever be surprised.
Angel biscuits and Ky. home cured ham.
Yum, yum JOY.

You're Gonna Love my Lizard bracelet from Belize

Snowing in Central Ky. again.
Melting as fast as it falls.
Would love to see a bright sunny
Easter morning.

Folks who often visit my blog know that our granddaughter recently returned from Belize on a missionary trip.
She choose to go to Belize because I had been there on a similar trip.

This is what she brought me back.

I love how the beads in the tail make a jeweled closure.

Everyone is busy making preparations for the beautiful season of
Easter to celebrate the Risen Jesus.

That pitcher vase is waiting for my tulips to bloom out.
I am pretty sure I am going to have to have store bought tulips this Easter.

Grand Social

Had a wonderful day Saturday at grand
Holly's
Confirmation.

I love being at those special events where all the family come together to encourage and help to impress on the children how important their faith journey is.

Sunlit Sunday-Palm Sunday

 Blessed Palm Sunday.

The is the last Sunlit Sunday for awhile and boy do we did it here in Central Kentucky.

Rained all night, still raining and it is cold.

I must admit I took this photo last year.

It is what I hope to see soon on my Knock Out roses.

Wishing all a wonderful and adventurous summer with fun with family and travel and every good thing possible.

Grandparents say----

Love being a Granny

During the Easter period I usually have soft boiled eggs and then wash and paint the shells and fill them with candy.

Am off to our granddaughter's Confirmation today and you can see I am not quite finished with these.
I will paint faces on them.

Our Easter Egg Tree.
Each egg has goodies in it and there is a designated color for each grand.
They are too old for an Easter Egg Hunt but still want something special for them.

One year we had a paint the rock contest.
This one won. I am not sure why I still have it the others took theirs home.

One of my dear blogger friends sent us this for
Easter.
She is into jewelry and wire and soldering.
I just love it.

FSO-Childhood pleasures

Theme
 Pleasures of childhood

Dreaming about when I grow up.

I grew up around horses and could not wait to be able to ride.
Ride I did and fell off backwards and broke my coccyx
(tail bone) the very first time.
I kept on riding for a long time.

These are our sons horses and our little grandson with aspirations of being a cowboy.

Share the JOY Thursday

I love the berries on the Nandina bushes.
I love playing with PicMonkey too.
They give our landscape a little color during the winter months and color outside gives me
JOY.

They have been orange, then red and now turning ripe.

Tulips are coming up soon, we will have blooms.
